InternshipsAGBU now offers three great summer intern programs in three dynamic and exciting cities: Initiated in 1987 under the auspices of the AGBU President’s Club, the New York Summer Intern Program (NYSIP) provides professional opportunities for college students of Armenian descent in the financial, cultural, and media capital of the world, Each summer 30-35 undergraduate and graduate students from the world’s leading institutions of higher learning participate in NYSIP and receive hands-on experience in their field of study. Students intern in some of the city’s leading institutions and corporations, including
NYSIP staff also organizes a full range of activities to ensure that students also receive practical, business and career training through professional seminars while networking with area young professionals of Armenian descent. The Paris Summer Intern Program (PSIP) was established in 2003 and provides a solid foundation for future work experience to college aged Armenians eager to profit by the charm and magic of the city of lights. During the day inters work with leading French and International companies that are shaping the European Union’s economic and cultural marketplace, while, in the evening they learn about their heritage though programs and activities organized by PSIP staff. YSIP will include language lessons, dance classes, history lectures and meetings with government officials. Interns will have the added bonus of familiarising themselves with AGBU’s vast array of Armenia projects and gain valuable first-hand experience with regard to the impact they are making on Armenian society.
